New Continuing Education Requirements for Florida PEs
Florida PEs must now have 18 hours (no longer 8) of continuing education in these categories:1 hour (no longer 4) approved Florida Law and Rules course ¶ 1 hour (new requirement) approved course on ethics ¶ 4 hours on the licensee’s Area of Practice subjects ¶ 12 hours on topics pertinent to the practice of engineering (new requirement) ¶ If participating in engineering in design of works or systems covered by the Florida Building Code, a course designated as “advanced” by the Florida Building Commission and approved by the FBPE must be completed within one year of the effective…
